Our cottage is the place to be for nature lovers. It lies at only a 100 meters distance from of the Dutch nature reserve "De Schoorlse Duinen". An area with the widest line of dunes of the Netherlands, which on the east side turns into the wonderful landscape of the province of Noord-Holland. Most of all it is an area where you find peace and quiet and where you can take your time going for a walk or a bike trip in a still unspoilt scenery
At a distance of only 20 minutes of biking lies the Schoorl beach, a wonderful wide beach which is a nice place to stay without any trouble finding a good spot.

Near to Schoorl you find the coastal villages of Egmond, Bergen, Bergen aan Zee, Groet, Hargen and Camperduin. All of these villages are worth visiting, especially when you want to explore culture like museums, art and ceramic galleries, ancient mills or old churches. There is always something to do, with children as well. They can spoil all their energy at for instance the highest playing dune of the Netherlands, or they can join in at the various rambles guided by a forester, who can tell them anything they want to know about nature. Or you pay a visit to the Zee-Aquarium (sea aquarium) in Bergen aan Zee or to a playground. You and your family can also go horse riding, playing tennis or golf, or perhaps go skiing, whatever you like.
